Arrest of Hassan Al-Ghanash, Accused of Involvement in Ansar Crime

A statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance, as follows: On March 27, 2022, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in the Bekaa region arrested the Syrian (H.G.) accused of participating in the murder of citizen Basma Abbas and her three daughters in the town of Ansar, South Lebanon. An investigation has begun with the detainee under the supervision of the competent judicial authority. Social media was abuzz at night with images of Hassan Al-Ghanash, accused of participating in the Ansar crime, when he was arrested by individuals from the Nasr al-Din family in the town of Zita on the Lebanese-Syrian border. Bloodstains were visible on his face.
