Injuries Sideline Liverpool Stars from Their National Teams

Liverpool, the giant of the English Premier League, announced that midfielder Naby Keita has been excluded from Guinea's squad ahead of two friendly matches against South Africa and Zambia due to a knee injury. The 27-year-old player started the match that ended with Liverpool winning 1-0 against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-finals last Sunday before being substituted in the second half for Thiago Alcantara. Liverpool stated: "The Guinea Football Federation has announced that Naby Keita will miss the next matches due to a complaint about his knee."

Liverpool also confirmed that right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been dropped from England's squad ahead of matches against Switzerland and Ivory Coast due to a hamstring issue he sustained before the match against Forest. Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp informed reporters on Friday that Alexander-Arnold would be out for several weeks. Currently, Liverpool is in second place in the Premier League, just one point behind leaders Manchester City, and will return to action against Watford on April 2.
