The activities of the "Joint Shield of the Emirates - 50" exercise continue in the western direction of the maritime theater of the UAE, which will last until January 14, as part of a series of scheduled operational exercises for the year 2022, aimed at enhancing the readiness of the armed forces across all its main units. On Tuesday, the "Joint Shield of the Emirates - 50" exercise witnessed extensive operations executed by airlifted forces from the ground troops and the Presidential Guard, conducted in consecutive and simultaneous waves on several selected targets, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Coinciding with the operations of the airlifted forces, protective operations were carried out by air force fighters and joint aviation helicopters. Additionally, logistical support operations were executed both at sea and in the air to assist the operations of the airlifted forces.
