European sources revealed the "generous" bonus received by each player on the Italian national team following their significant achievement of winning the European Championship on Sunday evening. According to the newspaper "Marca," each of the 26 players who represented Italy during "Euro 2020" received a sum of 250,000 euros as a reward for this great accomplishment. Italy secured the European Championship against England through a penalty shootout on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London.
On the other hand, the stars of the England national team, who were the runners-up in the tournament, each received 200,000 euros as a bonus from the English Football Association for reaching the final for the first time since the 1966 World Cup. The Italian national team also received a cash prize of 34 million euros, which is the champion's prize awarded to the Italian Football Federation. Meanwhile, England received 30 million euros for reaching the final, and all teams received a "participation bonus" of nearly 10 million euros.
