The Enppi Club, part of the Egyptian Premier League, recently issued a statement expressing its firm rejection to participate in the league matches during the Tokyo Olympic Games without its international players, who will accompany the Egyptian Olympic team to participate in the Olympics, in order to uphold the principle of equal opportunities.
The tripartite committee managing the Egyptian Football Association welcomed the requests from Premier League clubs to postpone the league for one month during the Tokyo Olympics, which will take place in July. It is noteworthy that the tripartite committee held meetings with Premier League clubs in the past few days, during which the clubs demanded a suspension of the league during the Tokyo Olympics, a request that was approved by the officials of the tripartite committee.
