Germany Defeats France and Sets Up Final Match with England in Women's Euro

The German national team has set up a meeting with their English counterparts in the final of the Women's European Championship, following their 2-1 victory over France in the tournament's semi-finals currently taking place in England. Alexandra Popp scored both of Germany's goals in the 40th and 76th minutes, while Merle Frohms of Germany inadvertently scored France's only goal in the 44th minute. Germany will play in the final scheduled for next Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London against England, who advanced by defeating Sweden with a score of 4-0.
