Report of Bomb Threat at Yerevan Airport Coinciding with Lavrov's Arrival

The Armenian Emergency Ministry reported that it received a bomb threat concerning Yerevan International Airport approximately half an hour after the arrival of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The Armenian Emergency Service stated in a release: "On June 8, the National Crisis Management Center received information that an explosive device had been planted at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan." A crew of firefighters and rescue workers, along with an operational group from the crisis management center and a team of mine clearance specialists, arrived at the site. Later, the Armenian Emergency Service announced that no explosives had been found at the airport.
