Media reports indicated that investigations have been launched with thousands of people in North Korea to identify the author of offensive writings about the leader on a wall. According to these reports, authorities in the country have opened an investigation with residents of the capital to determine the person responsible for the derogatory writings on one of its walls, noting that officials are "collecting handwriting samples from city residents to find the author of the offensive messages." Global media disclosed that the phrase written on the wall is: "Kim Jong Un, you son of *****. People are starving to death because of you." It is worth mentioning that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had stated earlier this January that "2022 was a major battle between life and death." Notably, North Korea is under a barrage of international sanctions imposed due to its military activities, leading to a shortage of food and the inability to secure nourishment for the populace, compounded by strict border closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating pressure on its economy.
