Largest Campaign in Ramadan: From the UAE to 20 Countries

The "100 Million Meals" campaign, the largest in the region aimed at feeding people during the holy month of Ramadan, has successfully gathered the equivalent of 78 million meals in the first week since its launch, achieving 78% of its goal to provide 100 million meals in low-income communities across 20 Arab, Asian, and African countries. This has been made possible through contributions and donations from various sectors.

Donations for the "100 Million Meals" campaign began pouring in within hours following the announcement by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at providing food support to individuals and needy families in 20 countries during Ramadan. By the end of the first week, the total donations received exceeded half of the needed contributions to cover the costs of delivering food parcels equivalent to 100 million meals to those in need across the twenty countries covered by the campaign.

After one week of its launch, the campaign recorded extensive social and institutional engagement across digital platforms, social media, instant messaging applications, and created a comprehensive charitable community movement. The public praised the campaign and its humanitarian goals, calling for increased participation, while sharing the video clip announcing the campaign.

The significant interaction with the campaign reflects the values of solidarity, generosity, compassion, and mutual support that are ingrained in UAE society, where various groups are eager to lend a helping hand, assist and support the needy and afflicted, spread goodwill, and mitigate the impacts of crises, disasters, challenges, and suffering faced by different peoples worldwide, without discrimination based on race, religion, or region. Contributions from individual donors, businesspeople, companies, trade groups, the business community, and charitable organizations, both within the state and abroad, continued to come in through the four designated donation channels established by the campaign.
