His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, expressed his condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the death of Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, former Egyptian Minister of Defense, commending his historical national stances. His Highness noted via Twitter: "May God have mercy on Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, former Egyptian Minister of Defense...His historical national stances preserved Egypt's stability and the cohesion of its institutions in the toughest circumstances. My sincere condolences to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and the deceased's honorable family."
