Former U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that the Russian military operation in Ukraine would not have started if he had remained in the White House, suggesting the use of nuclear weapons to threaten Russia. Trump conducted a lengthy interview on Monday with American channel "Fox Business," discussing the Ukraine crisis, U.S. aid to Kyiv, and the presidential election issue.
The former president stated, "If I were president, I would threaten Russia with nuclear submarines... I would tell Vladimir Putin that we would roam the Russian coasts." He added, "There is a debate about whether we should send MiG fighters to assist Ukrainian air forces... Should we send this type of assistance?"
Trump continued, "There are things we can do without fighters... What I would do is... we have immense military capability, and the United States is the greatest nuclear power in the world, we have the greatest submarines, the strongest submarines ever." He further said, "I would tell him (Putin): Listen, you use this word (nuclear) a lot... We will send them (the submarines) and we will move in all directions around Russia... You cannot let this tragedy continue... Thousands of people are dying."
