China Warns of "Explosion" of COVID-19 in Beijing!

A spokesperson for the Chinese government warned that the capital city, Beijing, is facing an "explosion" in COVID-19 cases linked to a bar, while the Shanghai commercial center has begun mass testing to contain a surge in cases associated with a popular beauty salon. The warning follows new tightening of COVID restrictions in Beijing since Thursday, with at least two areas, including the most populated Chaoyang, being closed, along with some entertainment venues after a significant number of cases were reported in a bustling district known for its nightlife and shopping, which is home to many embassies, according to Reuters.
