In the Last Seconds... Valuable Win for Liverpool with Brazilian Goalkeeper’s Header

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker led his team Liverpool to a victory against hosts West Bromwich Albion (2-1) today, Sunday, in the 37th round of the English Premier League. Welsh striker Hal Robson-Kanu opened the scoring for the home side in the 15th minute of the first half. Egyptian star Mohamed Salah equalized with a magnificent shot from the edge of the penalty area into the far left corner in the 33rd minute. Then, in the dying moments of the match, Alisson Becker scored the winning goal for the Reds with a brilliant header following a corner kick from the left side.

Alisson became the first goalkeeper to score a goal in Liverpool's history since its establishment in 1892 in an official match and the first goalkeeper to score a winning goal for his team in the history of the Premier League. He also entered a short list of goalkeepers who have managed to score in Premier League history, which includes five names alongside him: Danish legend Peter Schmeichel, American Brad Friedel, Paul Robinson, American Tim Howard, and Bosnian Asmir Begović.

Mohamed Salah raised his tally to 22 goals, topping the Premier League scoring chart alongside English star Harry Kane of Tottenham. Following this win, Liverpool's points increased to 63, placing them fifth in the league table and keeping their hopes alive for reaching the Champions League next season. Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion occupies the 19th position in the Premier League standings, with 26 points, having been officially relegated to the lower divisions.
