Syrian club Al-Ittihad has signed Brazilian coach Arthur Bernardes Ribas da Silva to lead the first team.
Al-Ittihad confirmed that Da Silva's contract extends for a season and a half, granting him significant authority, including overseeing football operations and training coaches.
The 65-year-old Brazilian coach has previously worked in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with his most recent position in Thailand.
Captain Ahmed Al-Hawash will remain the team's technical manager, and Da Silva will announce his assistant coaching staff next week. It is noteworthy that Al-Ittihad currently holds the ninth position in the Syrian league standings with 20 points.
