Title: Rescue of a Lebanese Hostage in Syria

In a complex security operation, the Directorate of Intelligence of the Lebanese Army succeeded on 15/5/2022, in coordination with the Syrian security services, to rescue citizen Joseph George Mfarraj, a Canadian national, who had been kidnapped in Syria without the payment of any ransom. A group of the gang that kidnapped him on 15/4/2022 on the airport road was also arrested. Investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
