Biden Receives Second Dose of Pfizer Vaccine

Three weeks after receiving his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, President-elect Joe Biden is getting his second dose today in front of the media.

When Biden received his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Christiana Hospital in Delaware on December 21, 2020, he told Americans, "There is nothing to worry about." He added at that time, "Vaccines give us hope, but the distribution mechanism has been a mess," indicating that the vaccine distribution process "will be the largest logistical challenge we face as a nation."

So far, only 6.7 million Americans have received their first dose, which is significantly lower than the target announced at the time of 20 million by the end of 2020.
