Under the title "Russian Defense: The Syrian Army Achieved Stability in Daraa," the Russia Today website reported, citing TASS, that the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria announced that the Syrian army managed to achieve stability in the Daraa province in the south of the country. Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, Admiral Vadim Kolet, stated in a communication on Friday that militants from one of the anti-government groups attacked Syrian army positions in the province. He confirmed that "thanks to the efforts of the Syrian armed forces, the situation has stabilized, and as of July 30, a ceasefire was announced." He added that Syrian security agencies managed to reach an agreement with the leaders of the armed groups regarding the resolution of the situation.
