Bin Zayed from the Élysée: France is a Strategic Friend and Ally of the UAE

Emirati President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan described France as a strategic friend and ally of the UAE via Twitter. He stated, "France is a strategic friend and ally of the UAE. Our historical relations have been characterized by steadfast positions and fruitful cooperation in many areas." He added, "Today, I express my happiness with the ancient visit to Paris and meeting my friend President Emmanuel Macron."

He noted that they are "determined to enhance these relations towards broader, diverse, growing, and prosperous horizons."

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed arrived at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Monday for a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, marking his first visit since assuming the presidency in the UAE last May.

The purpose of bin Zayed's visit to France is to strengthen the already distinguished relations in various economic, cultural, technological, energy, and other areas of mutual interest. During the visit, the Emirati president will discuss with his French counterpart issues of friendship and prospects for cooperative work in various aspects, particularly in future energy, climate change, and advanced technology. Additionally, discussions will take place on strengthening cooperation in education, culture, and space sectors, in light of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and France, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). Both sides will address various regional and international issues of concern to the two countries and avenues for enhancing security and stability in the region.
