Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a delegation from the European Union Election Observation Mission at the Grand Serail. The delegation was headed by Chief Observer Martin Lassan Skilf and included Chief Monitor Giorgi Holivni, several members of the European Parliament, and administrative staff. During the meeting, Mikati stated, "The government has completed all arrangements to hold the parliamentary elections next Sunday with full freedom and democracy, and it remains for the Lebanese people to participate in the voting process in large numbers to make their voices heard and choose their preferred candidates." He added, "A wide segment of the Lebanese population has long called for change, and this is the right opportunity to crystallize this change within constitutional frameworks." He also mentioned, "Discussions around electoral violations are commonplace in every voting process, and the relevant authorities are investigating this matter." Furthermore, Mikati expressed reliance on the cooperation of the EU Election Observation Mission with the relevant authorities to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. Mikati also met with Minister of Communications Johnny Qorm, in the presence of General Director of "Ogero" Imad Kready, General Director of Construction and Equipment at the ministry Naji Indraous, and General Director of Investment and Maintenance Basel Ayoub, to discuss matters related to the Ministry of Communications.
