Yasser Al-Azm Completes Writing His New Series "Al-Sanouno" and Begins Filming

Yasser Al-Azm Completes Writing His New Series

Syrian artist Yasser Al-Azm has been absent from the artistic scene for several years but has recently returned, having written a new series titled "Al-Sanouno." He has completed the script and recently started filming. The series is both written and directed by Egyptian director Khairy Beshara.

The events of the new series "Al-Sanouno" revolve around several issues of interest to the Arab viewer in general, not just specifically for Syria. The plot unfolds aboard a ship that travels between several Arab countries. There are many events included in the series that have not yet been disclosed by the creators to the media, and they have withheld details or information for the moment.

In this context, Yasser is co-starring with Syrian actor Abed Fahed, artist Bashar Ismail, and Jirgis Jabara, along with Arab stars who will guest in episodes based on the ship's docking locations. It is notable that Yasser Al-Azm's last appearance was in the series "Maraya" several years ago, filmed in Algeria, but it did not achieve the desired impact at that time. Al-Azm also gained fame in the plays "Ghorba" and "Dai'at Tishreen" in the 1970s, collaborating with artists Dureid Lahham, Nihad Qalai, and Omar Hajjo, which were written by the famous writer Mohammed El-Maghout. His name is closely associated with the renowned drama series "Maraya," which became a staple during Ramadan and achieved great fame and distinction since its first episode in 1984, with the last airing in 2013.
