Al-Azm also gained fame in the plays "Ghorba" and "Dai'at Tishreen" in the 1970s, collaborating with artists Dureid Lahham, Nihad Qalai, and Omar Hajjo, which were written by the famous writer Mohammed El-Maghout. His name is closely associated with the renowned drama series "Maraya," which became a staple during Ramadan and achieved great fame and distinction since its first episode in 1984, with the last airing in 2013.
