Twitter recently added the "Spaces" feature, allowing users to participate in audio chat rooms exclusively with their followers. This feature now also includes a dedicated button in the bottom bar of the Twitter app. The platform is now launching a new feature available for "Android" and "iOS" users that allows returning to the "Spaces" feature immediately after it ends, as it will now support recordings of audio chats with followers only.
Similar to the Zoom application, Twitter will display a visual indicator to all members in the space to inform them if a particular conversation is being recorded. The recording will be available for 30 days after the chat ends, during which the host can access it.
According to sources, Twitter retains the audio files of the "Spaces" feature on its servers, which enabled users to access them prior to this feature by requesting an archive of their account information, as reported by the Indian Express.
