Mikati Receives Call from Saudi Ambassador

Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a call from the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, who has returned to Beirut. During the call, the ambassador congratulated him on the occasion of Ramadan and invited him to an Iftar banquet at the embassy. The ambassador appreciated the efforts of the Prime Minister to protect Lebanon during this difficult time and to restore Lebanese-Saudi relations to normalcy. The call was also an opportunity to reaffirm the depth of Lebanon's Arab relations and Mikati's appreciation for the Gulf and particularly Saudi initiatives to return ambassadors to Lebanon as a precursor to fully restoring these relations. Additionally, there was an agreement to continue positive fraternal work for the sake of Lebanon and its Arab identity.
