The 45th President of the United States stated in a release, "Many are wondering what happened to the wonderful Boeing 757, which became a symbol of Trump meetings." He added, "A complete renovation is currently underway," from the engines to the exterior paint, confirming its return to service before the end of the year. The billionaire continued, "When finished, it will be better than ever and will be used again for future meetings," without mentioning a new presidential campaign. In 2016, Trump held ongoing presidential meetings aboard the plane at various airports. According to meticulously organized ceremonies, the former president would descend from his plane, which was emblazoned with his name in gold, to speak to his supporters, with the plane clearly visible in the background.
