Floods and torrents hit the city of Erbil in Iraq yesterday, causing material damage, while no human losses have been reported so far, according to the city's Civil Defense Directorate. The official spokesperson for the directorate, Captain Sarkut Karsh, told the Iraqi News Agency "WAA", that "the torrents covered areas of Braiti, Shorsh, Hulernew, Sidawa, and the intersection of the Council of Ministers in Erbil." He added that the torrents caused material damage, and no human losses have been recorded yet. Additionally, the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region postponed the mid-year exams to tomorrow, Saturday.
