Morocco Achieves First Victory Against South Korea in President’s Cup

The covered hall in the administrative capital hosted the match between the Moroccan national team and the South Korean team in the second round of Group B of the President's Cup at the World Handball Championship.

The Moroccan handball team secured its first victory in the World Championship held in Egypt, after defeating South Korea with a score of (32-25). The Moroccan team led at half-time with a score of (15-14) and managed to widen the gap in the second half.

Previously, the Moroccan team had suffered three defeats in the preliminary round and then lost to Austria in the first round of the President's Cup. It is noteworthy that with this victory, Morocco raised its points to two, tying with Chile and Austria, ahead of the match between the latter two this Friday evening. This victory also avenged Morocco's loss to South Korea in the 2007 World Championship.
