The ministry reported the names of two of the deceased: Saleh Ammar (19 years old) and Raed Abu Saif (21 years old). Akram Rajoub, the governor of Jenin, told Palestine Radio, “The number of martyrs is four; two of them are being held by the occupation forces.” He added, "The Israeli military operation was swift and involved extensive live gunfire." Video footage on social media showed armed clashes between youths and Israeli forces. Local residents reported that the Israeli forces, who raided the city of Jenin and its camp in the early hours, had withdrawn.
