Liverpool's English manager, Jürgen Klopp, praised the recently joined player, Luis Díaz, describing him as "the closest thing to a miracle." The 25-year-old Colombian signed with Liverpool last January from Portuguese club Porto for £37 million. Díaz managed to score two goals in his first 12 matches with Liverpool, along with his outstanding performance, which has been appreciated by the club's officials and fans.
In this context, Klopp stated in an interview with Sky Sports, "Don't expect miracles immediately from this type of player, but he is not far from that." He added, "There is always a reason behind signing a particular player, and the reason is his performance and the way he plays football." The German coach continued, "It was special with Luis... when we saw him, we knew he would adapt immediately; we have a confident player here... usually, this is really difficult."
Klopp clarified that Luis Díaz was performing well with Porto and Colombia, "that is why he came to Liverpool with full confidence, even though he is still adapting to life in England."
