A statement from the "United" coalition reported that a preliminary decision was issued by the State Consultative Council on the afternoon of July 28, 2022, rejecting the request to suspend the enforcement of the decree to raise communication tariffs submitted by the lawyers of the United Coalition. This decision is noted to cause definite and unjust harm to consumers according to Article 67 of the regulations of the Consultative Council itself, in addition to constituting a violation of the constitution. Consequently, the government’s decision to raise communication and telephone service prices is now in effect.
