Gas Filling Companies Have Not Opened Their Doors

The Union of Owners and Investors of Household Gas Filling Factories urged the Ministry of Energy and Water and those responsible for issuing the price schedule to reconsider the weekly price list, which is unjust to factory owners as it does not include a profit margin for them and the ministry is unable to keep up with the rise in the exchange rate of the US dollar, causing us severe losses that no one can bear.

In a statement, they said, "Today, most gas filling factories in Lebanon are closed. We demand the ministry to establish a margin for us, specifically a profit margin on each gas cylinder. Additionally, since we buy gas in dollars, we should sell in dollars or its equivalent according to the daily exchange rate of the dollar in the market." Information from LBCI indicated that gas filling companies did not open their doors and refrained from delivering the product today due to the lack of a new fuel price list that aligns with the daily dollar exchange rate.
