Commemoration of the Beirut Port Explosion: National Mourning and Closure

The Prime Minister’s office announced that "based on Decree No. 15215 dated September 27, 2005, and its amendments, especially Decree No. 8007 dated July 23, 2021, all public administrations, public institutions, and municipalities will be closed on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in remembrance of the tragic Beirut Port explosion. Flags will be flown at half-mast at public administrations, public institutions, and municipalities. Additionally, regular programming on radio and television stations will be adjusted to reflect the painful memory of the tragedy, in solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the injured and their families."
