Macron Continues His Visit to Algeria

French President Emmanuel Macron continues his three-day visit to Algeria on Friday with the aim of "building the future," focusing on young entrepreneurs and startups. According to the French Press Agency, this morning the French president visited the European Saint Eugene Cemetery, which was the main cemetery in the capital during the French colonization of Algeria, to honor the soldiers "who died for France."

Yesterday, on the first day of his visit, he went to the Martyrs' monument of Algeria in the War of Independence (1954-1962) against France.

Macron is set to visit the Great Mosque in Algeria before heading to Oran (west), the country's second-largest city known for its openness and creativity.
