Important Statement for Holders of Biometric Passports

The General Directorate of General Security issued the following statement: "Due to the strike of public administration employees and the difficulty in obtaining new individual civil status data, and in order to facilitate citizens applying for biometric passports exclusively who have an appointment on the platform and meet the specified conditions, the General Directorate of General Security announces its decision to accept applications for the replacement of these passports, except for passports that are subject to loss reports, without the need to submit a new individual civil status statement. As for those applying for a biometric passport for the first time, they are required to include an individual civil status statement that was issued no more than one year ago, or an individual civil status statement issued after 2017 and certified according to the proper procedures within a period not exceeding three months."
