Mona Zaki has ignored the massive backlash and widespread criticism across social media and has resumed her artistic activities normally. She is preparing to star in a new theatrical work alongside Ahmed El Sakka, titled "The Doll," after a long absence from the stage. The play is directed by Ashraf Zaki, written by Diaa Mohamed, and produced by Hamdy Badr. It is set to be showcased as part of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia during February.
It is noteworthy that "The Doll" may not be the final title of the play, as it could be changed and announced a few days prior to the performance, especially after the complete assembly of the cast and crew. Moreover, this play marks the first theatrical collaboration between Mona Zaki and Ahmed El Sakka after a 19-year hiatus from theater, with their last joint production being "Keda Ok," in which they were co-starring with Sherif Mounir, Hani Ramzy, and Yasmine Abdel Aziz.
