The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 60 deaths from COVID-19 and 2,879 new infections in the last 24 hours.
In its daily report, the ministry indicated that the total number of deaths due to the virus in the country has reached 3,737, while the total number of infections has reached 324,859. The ministry had reported 61 deaths and 2,063 infections the previous day.
Regarding lockdown measures, the Lebanese caretaker government has begun gradually easing strict lockdown measures imposed due to COVID-19 in four phases over two weeks, starting from yesterday, Monday. In a statement on Friday, the caretaker government indicated, "We will continue to implement measures to prevent a return to the situation before the general lockdown."
