Kim Jong Un to South Korea: We Will Respond Immediately with Great Force

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un threatened to destroy the South Korean regime and its military if Seoul attempts a preemptive strike against his country. The North Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim Jong Un stated, on the occasion of the anniversary of the ceasefire in the Korean War, that his country is fully prepared to mobilize its "nuclear deterrent" quickly and accurately at any time.

In a celebration of the occasion, the North Korean leader said, "Our armed forces are now fully prepared to respond to any crisis, and our country's nuclear deterrent is fully prepared to mobilize its absolute power faithfully, accurately, and quickly to accomplish its mission."

Kim Jong Un emphasized that Seoul is mistaken if it thinks it can deliver a "preemptive strike" against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and neutralize at least part of its military capabilities. In this context, the North Korean leader stated, "If the South Korean regime and its military criminals believe they can confront us militarily and neutralize or destroy part of our military power preventively through some military means or methods, they are wrong! This dangerous attempt will be stopped immediately with great force, and the (South Korean President) Yoon Suk Yeol regime and its army will be destroyed."
