Rafik Hariri Hospital Launches First Vaccination Campaign Against Coronavirus

Rafik Hariri University Hospital has announced the launch of the first vaccination campaign against the coronavirus pandemic for healthcare workers at the COVID-19 vaccination center that has been prepared and equipped with a donation from the Walid bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation.

The National News Agency reported that caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab visited the vaccination center against the coronavirus at the hospital, where he was received by the caretaker Minister of Public Health Hamad Hasan, the head of the National Committee for COVID-19 Vaccine Management Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bizri, and the hospital's director Dr. Firas Al-Abyad. The agency added that the first vaccinations were administered to the head of the medical care department at the hospital, Dr. Mahmoud Hassoun, and the esteemed actor Salah Tizani "Abu Salim," who became the first person to receive the coronavirus vaccine among the elderly in Lebanon. They were followed by the hospital's director Dr. Firas Al-Abyad, the medical director, the head of nursing, and the head of the infection control department, along with several members of the medical and nursing staff.

On another note, Rafik Hariri University Hospital, in cooperation with the National Council for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, has launched a "Call Center for COVID-19 Vaccine Services." This center aims to facilitate and enable citizens and residents to obtain information and guidance regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The call center includes a team of trained volunteers to assist in filling out the registration form for those wishing to receive the vaccine or to follow up on previously completed registration forms.

Additionally, the COVID-19 vaccine call center has introduced an innovative technology to answer citizens' questions by providing a robotic doctor (Chatbot) that responds to any inquiries about the vaccine via WhatsApp at the number 81919469, offering answers on all medical matters, operating 24 hours a day. It is worth noting that the COVID-19 vaccine call center operates from 8 AM to 6 PM, seven days a week, including official holidays, at the number 01832070.
