The Director General of Ogero, Imad Kreidiah, announced to the Lebanese people that "the maintenance works, which were not without surprises from the external side, have been completed and internet service has returned to normal."
He praised "the work of Ogero's technical teams who managed this sensitive process well, ensuring the continuity of the local network at a rate exceeding 80%." He added: "Ogero's ability to control the direction of data traffic and fully transfer it to other cables, in addition to adjusting capacities and speeds to avoid any congestion, prevented a complete service shutdown. This increases our confidence that it is very difficult to digitally isolate Lebanon from abroad due to maintenance works or any other reasons, especially since we are working to increase the capacity allocated to Lebanon across various submarine cables to create balance among them and prevent data traffic congestion. This makes us ready to face challenges more difficult than those we encountered in recent hours."
The Director General of Ogero, Imad Kreidiah, tweeted: "Due to an emergency malfunction in the internet network, some subscribers in several areas are experiencing service interruptions. Our technical teams are working diligently to address this issue, and service will gradually return to all subscribers. Thank you for your understanding."
