A medical committee appointed to investigate the death of Diego Maradona concluded a report regarding the reasons behind the passing of the Argentine football legend. The report indicated that the medical team responsible for Diego Maradona acted in a "disgraceful, reckless, and unprofessional" manner.
The report, released on April 30, and obtained by Reuters from a source close to the investigation, revealed that those responsible for treating Maradona were not qualified to handle such a health situation. According to information in the report, as reported by the British newspaper "Telegraph," Maradona suffered a severe illness and was in a dying state for about 12 hours before his death around noon on November 25 of the previous year.
Additionally, the report stated that Maradona experienced pain for an extended period, and he was not properly monitored in the hours leading up to his death. It is worth noting that prosecutors in Argentina opened an investigation shortly after Maradona's death at the age of 60 due to heart failure at a home near the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
The investigations included searches of property belonging to Maradona's personal doctor and questioning others involved in his care. In March of this year, a medical council appointed by the Ministry of Justice convened to analyze claims that the health care team overseeing Maradona did not provide appropriate medical care.
