Youssef El Khal: Levels in Lebanese Drama are Declining and Lacking Art

Lebanese artist Youssef El Khal considers that the levels of Lebanese drama have declined in recent years.

In his interview with the program "40," hosted by journalist Jessica Azar, Khal stated that in the past, Lebanese drama was criticized for not resembling the reality and streets of Lebanon. However, it has changed these days; it has become devoid of art and resembles news bulletins. The Lebanese artist mentioned that he often has artistic disagreements with his sister, actress Ward El Khal, as she always urges him to take things lightly, believing that art and stardom are not financially rewarding, as he described.

Khal acknowledged that his mother told him that the brilliance of his light has diminished in recent years, considering that there is dust in front of him that will automatically clear when it rains, and then his light will shine again.

Khal sent a message to his wife, Nicole Saba, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, expressing his deep love for her. He wished that God gives him the ability to reward her for her efforts, as she has been by his side for nine years, especially during this time filled with challenges. He praised her role, describing her as "the bearer," indicating her reliability in educational, organizational, planning, and rhythmic aspects of life. He noted her extreme independence, as she enjoys being responsible for everyone around her.

In response, his wife said: "My life, and my partner in joy and sorrow. God willing, we continue our life together successfully with our third partner, our daughter Nicole. I wish you everything beautiful, and stardom and love from people suit you, so we can remain strong together. I love you a lot."
