Workers in the home of American reality TV star Kim Kardashian have revealed new secrets about their experiences, including her alleged stinginess and failure to consistently pay their monthly salaries, according to their claims. According to NBC News, Kim has reportedly not covered the necessary expenses for her workers in California or provided legal breaks for those cleaning and maintaining her home, as claimed in a lawsuit filed on Monday.
The seven plaintiffs did not specify a dollar amount they are seeking from Kim, stating, "The matter is in dispute, except for interest exceeding $25,000," according to the civil lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The workers accused Kim of withholding 10% of their wages for taxes, and the lawsuit, filed by Los Angeles attorney Frank Kim, stated that the plaintiffs did not receive any paychecks.
It also added: "They were not paid on the usual paydays, did not receive their required meals and breaks, and were not provided a way to record all their working hours. They were not compensated for all their work hours, nor reimbursed for work-related expenses, did not receive all their overtime pay, and were not paid for their wages upon termination of employment."
Kim Kardashian, 40 years old, runs an empire in media, cosmetics, and clothing, and earlier this year, she was listed as a billionaire by Forbes magazine for the first time, according to NBC.
