Journalist Khaled Sawaf shocked fans of artist Sherine Abdel Wahab through his Facebook page, accusing artist Hossam Habib of shaving her hair and eyebrows, beating her, and tying her up. The journalist, known for his closeness to Sherine, posted: "Days before her divorce, Hossam Habib beat her and shaved her hair, and she was also without eyebrows. Sherine later appeared backstage while preparing a song after the divorce wearing a wig so no one would recognize her... but today she decided to surprise everyone and reveal the issue of her hair." This shocking surprise was hard for many of her devoted fans to believe.
Sawaf accompanied this shocking claim with a post he described as "the heavy one," stating, "Well, here's the heavy one... he tied her up to force her to sign over money." Amidst those who believe and those who doubt this shocking news, Sherine Abdel Wahab tweeted her first comment on the accusation, writing: "Why can’t it be a new look? Why can’t it be a change? Why can’t it be that I did this even if I have depression? Why did you impose the bad and the worse, unjustly accusing an innocent person and unjustly accusing me?"
She concluded her tweet by saying, "I am strong because of you, but I don't like your love for me to blind you from seeing the truths or to make you unjust."
