Dr. Irina Biseriva, a Russian nutritionist, advises individuals suffering from metabolic disorders to avoid eating meat, in a discussion with URA.RU. The expert indicates that those with metabolic diseases and intestinal issues should refrain from consuming meat or at least significantly reduce their intake. She states, "Those with metabolic disorders are not advised to eat meat because it is high in protein. If the kidneys are not functioning normally and are unable to excrete uric acid, it will negatively affect the body's health. Therefore, they should exercise caution and pay attention to their diet." She also adds that some types of meat pose risks for individuals with high cholesterol levels and cardiovascular diseases. She recommends that these individuals should avoid fatty meats and instead consume only turkey, chicken, and lean beef.
