Instagram has introduced two new features for following the "Feed" – "Following" and "Favorites" – which display posts in chronological order.
The "Following" feature shows posts from people you follow in the order they were shared, while the "Favorites" feature displays the latest posts from a selected list of accounts you choose, such as those of your close friends and favorite creators.
To use these features, click on Instagram in the top left corner of the homepage to select your preference. You can add up to 50 favorites and make changes to your list at any time. People will not be notified when they are added or removed. Posts from your favorites will also appear higher in your main feed.
Both Favorites and Following will show posts in chronological order, allowing you to keep up with posts you don’t want to miss. Instagram states that it will continue to build new features to provide users with more options and control over what they see, and to help make their time spent in the app more valuable and enjoyable.
