The United Arab Emirates topped the Arab countries and the Middle East and North Africa region in the annual report of the "Global Rule of Law Index" for 2020, published by the World Justice Project, scoring 0.65 points on the overall index. The report is one of ten international reports used by the World Bank to measure the "Rule of Law Index." According to the report, the UAE has progressed one additional rank compared to last year's classification, placing 18th in the category of "Law Enforcement and Implementation," having scored 0.73 points in the assessment that measures the effectiveness of implementing judicial rulings without any external influence.
