The Israeli occupation army announced that it has begun a "surprise drill" to assess the readiness and capabilities of the northern military command in facing any combat scenario on the northern front.
In a statement by the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichai Adrai, published on "Twitter," it was stated that the air force is starting the "Rose of Galilee" exercise under the supervision of Air Force Chief Major General Amikam Norkin, aimed at enhancing readiness on the northern front and bolstering the air force’s capabilities in any combat scenario in the region. The exercise commenced yesterday (Sunday) and there will be unusual aircraft and helicopter movements in the area, accompanied by the sounds of explosions; the drill is expected to conclude on Wednesday.
The statement further explained, "The exercise simulates combat scenarios in the northern arena to train all air force systems on the main tasks of the force, including maintaining air superiority, protecting the country’s airspace, as well as offensive missions and intelligence gathering."
The Israeli army added: "During the training, there will be an emphasis on planning, monitoring, and execution operations, along with comprehensive logistical and technological capabilities, focusing on maintaining freedom of air operations." According to the official broadcasting authority "Kan," the exercise will continue until Wednesday, and starting from this afternoon (Monday), there will be active air traffic across Israel, in addition to echoes of explosions in the region.
It is noteworthy that this maneuver coincides with the six-month anniversary of the death of a Hezbollah member in an attack attributed to Israel near Damascus International Airport, while the Israeli army continues to prepare for a potential retaliation scenario. The maneuver also follows a week after assessments from the Israeli military intelligence (Aman) indicating that Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of the Lebanese party, will attempt to carry out attacks against Israel.
