Google has announced new rules for the names and logos of Android applications to make them clearer and more serious. These rules will take effect for developers in the second half of this year. The American company explained that the new rules stipulate that the app name, logo, or developer name must not contain any information regarding download ranking or the app's free status. Additionally, the app name must not exceed 30 characters, and it should not include emojis in either the app name or the developer's name.
Direct claims such as "Download now" or "Update now" are also prohibited. If a developer does not adhere to these new rules, Google will not allow their app to be listed on the Google Play Store.
