You can now use the temporary messages feature on WhatsApp, as the popular messaging app includes a feature for automatically destroying conversations.
**Steps to activate WhatsApp temporary messages:**
1. Open a WhatsApp chat.
2. Tap on the contact's name.
3. Look for the "Temporary messages" option.
4. Once you activate this option, new messages in the chat will disappear within seven days. However, beware: this feature does not affect text messages sent prior to activation, and the contact will have ways to save them. Similarly, multimedia files will not disappear from any location outside the chat or from devices they were saved on, according to Entrepreneur magazine.
Select "Activate," and to deactivate it, follow the same steps but use the "Off" option at this step.
WABetaInfo, a specialized website, confirmed that the app will offer users the option to automatically delete messages after 24 hours of sending them, and this feature will be available for both individual and group chats.
