In conjunction with the spread of the coronavirus and the rise in both cases and fatalities, Jordan has officially announced a date to start vaccinations against the virus.
Jordan's Minister of Health, Dr. Nazir Obeidat, stated that the vaccination program for "COVID-19" will begin next Wednesday. He revealed that the first shipments of the Chinese "Sinopharm" vaccine will arrive at midnight on Saturday, and the "Pfizer" vaccine will arrive on Monday night. Minister Obeidat explained that "the program takes into account global priorities, targeting the most affected groups, which include the elderly with chronic diseases and those at higher risk, namely medical and health staff."
