Riyad Mahrez

British media reports have revealed that Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, a player for Manchester City, has been banned from driving in England for 56 days after he was caught speeding at 120 miles per hour on a motorway. According to the British newspaper "The Sun," Mahrez committed the speeding offense in May, for which he was fined £2,500 and received the driving ban. The penalty was enforced recently.

The report stated that Mahrez was driving his grey car, valued at £100,000, which has a top speed of 189 miles per hour when he committed the offense. Mahrez admitted guilt for the speeding violation last November and was penalized by judges in Staffordshire on July 3, following a driving ban.

This is the second time Mahrez has violated the law. He is now preparing for a tough match with Manchester City against Leicester City, scheduled for Saturday as part of the fourth round of the English Premier League for the current 2021-2022 season. The Algerian star joined Manchester City in the summer of 2018 from Leicester City and has participated in 146 matches across all competitions, scoring 40 goals and providing 38 assists.
