Clarification from Al-Hariri Hospital Regarding Viral Video in Emergency Room

Rafik Hariri University Hospital issued a clarification regarding a video circulating of a patient in the emergency room. The statement reads: "A video is being circulated on TikTok by a patient in the emergency department of Rafik Hariri University Hospital, showing bags discarded in the isolation room within the emergency department, in which she blames the responsible staff and accuses them of negligence and mistreatment.

In response, the hospital management wishes to clarify that the patient has tuberculosis and arrived at the hospital's emergency department last night, where she was placed in isolation until a room in the internal medicine department was secured. The patient did not adhere to the directions of the medical and nursing team, as she insisted on going out multiple times to smoke and receive friends, contrary to hospital regulations, causing them to spread out on the floor and bring some food, which necessitated the intervention of security staff to ensure compliance with instructions and guidelines. This situation angered her and led her to record the viral video.

The patient has since been transferred to an isolation room upstairs where she is receiving the necessary care."
